Armored Camera Will Deter the Criminal
Everyone has to worry about security, especially if you have a business. You have too much at stake and need to protect all your valuable assets from those who would seek to deprive you.
If you are thinking about installing surveillance cameras, the law generally dictates that you have to inform people that they are being watched in this way and therefore cannot have the element of surprise by hiding cameras from the view of criminals. However, to make sure that they cannot damage them easily and disarm them, armored cameras are now becoming very useful.
The beauty of armored cameras is that they can be placed in any position and will generally function under any circumstances and in any conditions. Should a criminal try to break the item, it is designed to withstand a hefty blow from a blunt instrument and yet they still function perfectly.
As an armored camera is so tough, you may find that the once determined criminal may give up when he finds that he cannot immediately destroy it. By this time, however, you should have recorded his image so that he will be in a pile of trouble anyway! Remember that if you use wireless cameras there are no wires to tempt the criminal to cut.
The most versatile armored cameras today are also infrared, meaning that they can operate under any light conditions. When lowlight triggers, the infrared LEDs are activated and the camera will switch from recording in color to black-and-white for better effects. Cameras can see between 20 and 40 feet in complete darkness and provide you with an amazingly clear recording.
To cover all angles, the astute business owner would choose to use a combination of visible cameras in public areas and hidden cameras in private areas such as the back office. If you use a combination of wired and wireless cameras you may also place the receiver in a hidden location away from the potential of attack.
Remember that many criminals are not the most determined and once they see that you have a significant surveillance system in place they will likely think twice. It is possible to disarm cameras but the typical armored camera is contained within a dome design and is very resistant anyway.
As security cameras are often in plain view, they can become vulnerable to a determined criminal who may seek to disarm them. For this reason, the industry has come up with armored cameras.
